Three for Thursday 11.12.2020
Welcome to TrustDALE's Three For Thursday with Consumer Investigator Dale Cardwell.
148 million. That's how many people cast a ballot for President in 2020. I was talking to a friend and he chose to view it as a positive. "Dale," he said, "that's the highest level of civic engagement our country has had in more than a century." John is right. But can you believe 38% of eligible voters - didn't? I hope you can view the other side kind of like Georgia and Georgia Tech. Rivals, of course - but at the end of the day, Georgians, and Americans, and thank you for showing up!

Todays Lesson on how to be a Savvy Consumer!
Today's seven-point lesson on handling a dispute.
Fast - Do they want your money NOW? Paying money in advance without written security is a mistake.
Funds - - Is the investment required relevant to the promised payoff? If not, it's likely too good to be true. A friend of mine once said while speaking of a customer "they want Delta service with a Spirit airline price." The amount of satisfaction you should expect will be directly proportional to the price you paid.
Found - A person who intends to rip you off will make certain he can't be found after he gets your money. Law enforcement won't help you find a con artist who took your money in a business dispute. You can count on that.
Ensure - Your deal with an Ethical negotiation, an Equitable contract and an Effective Guarantee. This is where preparation really comes in to play. 99 percent of the way you handle a dispute is determined through ethical negotiation, equitable contract and creating an effective guarantee.
Authenticate - Your deal by requesting References, checking Reviews, and examining government and watchdog reports. Doing this homework before you sign a contract will let you know if the other party is not only ethical but flexible.
Legitimize your deal by determining if the company has a business license, liability insurance and is Lawsuit and background checked. Always check small claims court records. If the company is a frequent visitor there, it's a strong indicator they won't be easy to work with if a dispute arises.
