Three for Thursday 12.29.2022
Welcome to TrustDALE's Three For Thursday with Consumer Investigator Dale Cardwell.
It's the last week of the year, and I have covid. No request for pity - My symptoms are mild. I am, however, struck by how incredibly grateful I feel. My immediate thoughts after two consecutive positive tests: Is my family safe? Yes. Am I incredibly grateful scientists developed a vaccine? Yes. Am I warm and have plenty of food and liquids? Yes. Do I mourn for the millions who lost family and friends in the past three years? Yes. Which leaves me incredibly grateful. I'm also grateful to let you know your support of TrustDALE has helped our team recover more than one-million dollars for consumers in the same period; cash and goods they would have never seen again without the leverage you helped us apply. I'll be back to full-time consumer research, referral, and protection next week I promise, but for now, please - if you can - join me in feeling grateful. Oh, and Happy New Year everyone!

Todays Lesson on how to be a Savvy Consumer!
Today's seven-point lesson is on recognizing sunk costs (or knowing when to quit).
Fast - Do they want your money NOW? Trying to recover money with no contract and no proof of purchase is a fool's errand.
Funds - Is the investment required relevant to the promised payoff? People who trick you into believing you're getting something for nothing, are also prepared for the long run.
Found - A person who intends to rip you off will make certain he can't be found after he gets your money. Classic sunk cost. Don't waste your time.
Define - Your deal by comparing product, Offer and Price. Thoroughly shopping is the best preventative medicine for having to chase a solution after the fact.
Ensure - Your deal with an Ethical negotiation, an Equitable contract, and an Effective Guarantee. If you don't review your contract carefully, you will likely find your vendor has protected him or herself from your disappointment. Read your contract before you spend money trying to recover your loss.
Authenticate - Your deal by requesting References, checking reviews, and examining government and watchdog reports. More excellent preventative medicine to avoid pursuing sunk costs.
Legitimize - your deal by determining if the company has a business license, liability insurance and is Lawsuit and background checked. Companies that play by these rules are much more likely to play by the rules of fairness when you're seeking a solution. Good luck!
