Ask Dale
Dale, how can the people who intentionally scam others, do what they do, and is it getting worse? Here's my answer:
Todays Lesson on how to be a Savvy Consumer!
Today's lesson on how to be a savvy consumer
The Case of the Faulty Furnace
Fast - Do they want your money NOW?
Funds - Is the amount of investment far smaller than the promised pay-off? That's a formula for too good to be true!
Found - A person who intends to rip you off will make certain he can't be found after he gets your money
Define - Your deal by comparing Products, Offers and Prices.
Ensure - Your deal with an Ethical negotiation, an Equitable contract and an Effective Guarantee. You don't have an effective guarantee if the company has 100% control of the resolution process. Make certain you don't sign away your right to sue - especially in small claims court - by agreeing to mandatory arbitration.
Authenticate - Your deal by requesting References, checking Reviews, and examining government and watchdog reports. The Carmichael family smartly forced the contractor's hand by "reporting the problem" first to the gas company and then to TrustDALE. Like last week, many businesses are still operating in the 20th century mode, when they held all the cards in the resolution process. This Carmichaels yanked the company into the future.
Legitimize - Your deal by determining if the company has a business license, liability insurance and is Lawsuit and background checked.
