'Golf Fore Kids' Raises $55,500

A new crisis cottage at The Children’s Village in Union City, Georgia is much closer to completion with the huge success of the first “Golf Fore Kids” event.  Dale was joined by 115 golfers at Smoke Rise Country Club in Stone Mountain on September 16^th for a beautiful day of golf plus prizes and great food. 

This year’s event was spearheaded by the TrustDale Steering Committee led by Dale Cardwell and Chris Foster, Executive Director of LivHome Atlanta, in conjunction with The Children’s Village marketing and operations staff.  The committee’s diligence made it possible to exceed the goal and raise $55,500 from sponsorships, golf participants, and a silent auction.  The net proceeds benefit the TrustDale Capital Campaign to construct up to three homes on the campus of The Children’s Village at Christian City which serves the needs of abandoned, abused and neglected children in Metro Atlanta.

 This year’s “Golf Fore Kids” title sponsor was Aquaguard Foundation Solutions.  Additional sponsors included: AAMCO, Allgood Pest Solutions, Dr. Roof, Dynamix Web Design, Frugal Kitchen, WXIA-TV, Greenberg Traurig, Jones Industrial Lawn Services, Kroger, Mauldin and Jenkins, Minuteman Press, PRI X-ray, Reservation Services International, Search America, Senior Helpers, UHS Pruitt, United Community Bank, and Willis Insurance.
