Metro Atlantans can now look forward to their mostDale Cardwell's Back and He's Got Your Back loved and feared consumer investigator’s return to daily watchdog reporting on a re-born Atlanta icon - Talk Radio 640 WGST. Clear Channel Radio, the nation’s leading media company with greater reach than any radio or TV outlet, lured Dale away from rival News/Talk WSB.

“Atlanta is unique in that bad people are rarely held accountable,” Dale said.  “Every afternoon, we’re going to talk with consumers who think they have unsolvable problems, get to the bottom of what went wrong, and if the shoe fits and someone deserves it, we’re going to chase down the responsible party and confront them.”  Dale Cardwell became a household name primarily as WSB-TV’s lead investigative reporter.  He’s known as the man who broke the stories that led to the imprisonment of Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell, DeKalb County Sheriff Sidney Dorsey, State School Superintendent Linda Schrenko as well as the exposure of countless scams and scandals.

After an attempted run for the US Senate, Dale returned to journalism - but in his own way - as founder and president of the consumer research and referral website, TrustDale.com.  “After 30 years of investigative reporting, I’ve realized there’s no such thing as consumer police,” Dale said.  “I created TrustDale.com, TrustDale TV, and TrustDale Radio to help consumers make smart choices when it comes to their toughest buying decisions.”

Brian Michel, Vice President of Marketing for Clear Channel in Atlanta said, “We were looking for a local talent who could not only shake things up, but had the credentials to talk the talk.  No Atlanta investigative journalist is more credible than Dale Cardwell.”

Dale’s flagship show will air weekdays at 5pm to 6pm on 640 WGST beginning January 6th, 2014.  In addition, Clear Channel will feature his consumer problem-solving stories on sister stations 94.9 The Bull and Radio 105.7.  Dale ended a two-year run of TrustDale Radio on News/Talk WSB last month in preparation for the move to WGST. He continues as host of TrustDale TV, Sundays at 11:30am on Atlanta’s NBC affiliate, WXIA 11-Alive.
