Three for Thursday 01.20.2022
Welcome to TrustDALE's Three For Thursday with Consumer Investigator Dale Cardwell.
"Held at gunpoint." That was the slug I read in my inbox from Nextdoor Tuesday. Enough! I've lived in Dunwoody, Georgia for twenty-five years. I have never seen a gun; I've never been threatened, and I have never threatened anyone. I live in a wonderful community and I'm grateful. Life can be full of distractions but I'm not going to allow Nextdoor to clickbait me in to worrying about the security of my community. Media is out of control, and it is up to each of us set the controls of the input we allow into our lives. I prefer to trust the people around me, and I seek to engage in positive relationships where benefit is offered and returned. That's the mantra of the TrustDALE community and I am so glad you've joined me here!

Todays Lesson on how to be a Savvy Consumer!
Today's seven-point lesson is correctly judging someone's motive:
Fast - Do they want your money NOW? People who want to force you into a quick decision almost never have your best interest at heart.
Funds - Is the investment required relevant to the promised payoff? A "deal" that appears to put you in a superior position always comes with a motive. If it appears someone is on the losing end, it's quite likely you're being played.
Found - A person who intends to rip you off will make certain he can't be found after he gets your money. People who intend to trick you play by the three "f's," Fast Funds Found. You can almost always expect them to come in threes.
Define - Your deal by comparing Product, Offer and Price. Motive becomes clear when met with proper research.
Ensure - Your deal with an Ethical negotiation, an Equitable contract, and an Effective Guarantee. People who want to take advantage will rush you, confuse you, and try to convince you what you see is not a trick. Trust your instincts!
Authenticate - Your deal by requesting References, checking reviews, and examining government and watchdog reports. Anyone who isn't willing to share references or give you the time to explore reviews is operating with a bad motive.
Legitimize - your deal by determining if the company has a business license, liability insurance and is Lawsuit and background checked. There is a reason rules exist. Be certain the company you hire observes community rules.
