Three for Thursday 02.24.2022

Welcome to TrustDALE's Three For Thursday with Consumer Investigator Dale Cardwell.

Are you angry over inflation? The media sure wants you to be because that means you'll watch more, tweet more, see more ads and inflate their profits! I did some research and discovered the Fed has printed 46 percent more money than existed three years ago; that's nearly twice as much money floating around! Some of that went toward increasing salaries in fields like hospitality and public safety, but most of it is sitting in banks going unspent, otherwise we would be seeing much higher inflation. No anger, no yelling, just a little information.

Todays Lesson on how to be a Savvy Consumer!

Today's seven-point lesson is on when to be concerned about the fine print :

Fast - Do they want your money NOW? Full and immediate payment demands you to read and understand the fine print. If it's too complicated, find an independent party in the field to explain it to you.

Funds - Is the investment required relevant to the promised payoff? Offers too good to be true often reveal themselves after agreements are signed, and you find it was there - in the fine print.

Found - A person who intends to rip you off will make certain he can't be found after he gets your money. A person who intends not to be found doesn't worry about fine print. They're liars.

Define - Your deal bycomparing product, Offer and Price. This step of homework will help you measure your needs against your wants. More fine print usually means less protection for you.

Ensure - Your deal with an Ethical negotiation, an Equitable contract, and an Effective Guarantee. This is the step where there should be no pressure, no tricks, and no surprises. Reasons for pressure, tricks and surprises are hidden in the fine print.

Authenticate - Your deal by requesting References, checking reviews, and examining government and watchdog reports. Reviews will tell you if there are unpleasant surprises in the fine print. Read the reviews!

Legitimize - your deal by determining if the company has a business license, liability insurance and is Lawsuit and background checked. Companies that meet this standard can still play games. Read the fine print!
