Three for Thursday 05.05.2022
Welcome to TrustDALE's Three For Thursday with Consumer Investigator Dale Cardwell.
People remember two customer service experiences: Being wowed and being worked over. That unavoidable reality soaked in as I visited some of our TrustDALE certified partners in Nashville. Companies told me they focused on sending a professional to do a professional job, arriving on time and just as important, leaving on time, and finally communicating often and effectively to resolve any issue. Middle Tennessee, like Atlanta, is growing by leaps and bounds. It's really tempting to take your brother-in-law's experience with a company as enough research to hire them. Big mistake! That's why I have a seven-point certification process. A company can be proficient in six of the areas, but not meeting the seventh standard might be the one that sinks you. Remember that next time you hire!

Todays Lesson on how to be a Savvy Consumer!
Today's seven-point lesson is knowing how to react if you have been unfairly targeted.
Fast - Do they want your money NOW? Demands for immediate payment without proper vetting is nearly always bad, no matter the circumstance.
Funds - Is the investment required relevant to the promised payoff? You've just won a big prize! Yes, it's likely you're being unfairly targeted, on purpose.
Found - A person who intends to rip you off will make certain he can't be found after he gets your money. A person who conspires not to be found will no doubt have unfairly targeted you.
Define - Your deal by comparing product, Offer and Price. Knowing the product and price range before you buy will go a long way toward protecting you from an unfair target.
Ensure - Your deal with an Ethical negotiation, an Equitable contract, and an Effective Guarantee. Sometimes companies just make mistakes. Read your contract and follow the process to resolve the situation. With patience, it will almost certainly work out, IF the company is reputable.
Authenticate - Your deal by requesting References, checking reviews, and examining government and watchdog reports. Authenticating whether you've been appropriately solicited is a must.
Legitimize - your deal by determining if the company has a business license, liability insurance and is Lawsuit and background checked. Unfair targets can still come from companies that are licensed but want to trick you. That's why these seven steps are a must!
