Booted Cars?

Booted Cars?

When Phillip A. parked his car in this lot, he knew he had to pay for the spot. “We got out and proceeded to the kiosk, put the tag number in, and got the receipt.”

But when he returned to his car a few hours later, Phillip was shocked. “My car was booted,” he shared. “The car next to mine was booted, and across the way, too.” What could he do?

Phillip called the phone number on the notice. “The man immediately answered and told me he knew exactly what car I was calling about,” says Paul.” Then you know I paid? And he said yes.” But that didn’t matter!

“The man on the phone told me that a lot of people do this all the time. The letters weren't there.” Huh? The letters he’s referring to are the ones on Phillip’s license plate. But to get those letters, you need to press the tag number on the keypad a few times. An instruction you have to squint to read.

When TrustDALE visited the kiosk to investigate, other drivers were confused, as well.

Dale pointed it out to another customer, “You have to be savvy enough to look down here to see that.” His response? “These machines are bull****!” We can’t disagree!

Have you ever experienced something like this? Let us know! And remember to ALWAYS read the fine print.
