Welcome to TrustDALE's Three For Thursday with Consumer Investigator Dale Cardwell.

Is a zebra black with white stripes, or white with black stripes? The actual answer is black, but here's my point. When it comes to consumerism, people too often reach conclusions before having a grasp on enough of the available information. TrustDALE's Customer Care Manager Jackie Lord is an expert at conducting our Make It Right process. She gently disarms angry consumers, convinces them to set aside their emotions, and mediates a resolution so much faster than the company's normal process. Our partner companies are happy to comply because it saves them from getting a Yelp or Google complaint. The largest group of people who do not hire services and contractors through TrustDALE, in my opinion, are people who have never been, or yet to be burned through a bad transaction. Don't let that happen to someone you love! Tell them about TrustDALE! By the way, our complaint to contentment ratio is less than 0.1%!

Todays Lesson on how to be a Savvy Consumer!

Today's seven-point lesson is on hiring a service sight unseen.

Fast - Do they want your money NOW? Paying a significant amount in advance before proof of performance is never a good idea, unless you won't miss the investment.

Funds - Is the investment required relevant to the promised payoff? Sea Monkeys were too good to be true, and if it feels that way, trust your instincts.

Found - A person who intends to rip you off will make certain he can't be found after he gets your money. This is one of the greatest dangers of buying a product or service sight unseen. Read reviews!

Define - Your deal by comparing product, Offer and Price. You might not have seen it yet, but you can probably find one like it, before you buy it.

Ensure - Your deal with an Ethical negotiation, an Equitable contract, and an Effective Guarantee. Sight unseen can be reinforced by insisting on this step before committing.

Authenticate - Your deal by requesting References, checking reviews, and examining government and watchdog reports. Look for trends in reviews. If you cannot find reviews, something's wrong.

Legitimize - your deal by determining if the company has a business license, liability insurance and is Lawsuit and background checked. This is an important step to take before buying sight unseen.
