Three for Thursday 04.27.2023
Welcome to TrustDALE's Three For Thursday with Consumer Investigator Dale Cardwell.
I'll start by saying I'm a uniter. A couple of months ago I was in Nashville on a sunny but windy day when I started noticing full grown trees falling in significant numbers in dense neighborhoods. It was a bit surreal, and even though the wind was invisible, it was obvious the wind blew the trees down. Or maybe it was a herd of giant invisible rabbits? I say that, because it's beliefs that divide us, not facts. But between the beliefs and facts are conditions on which we fix our beliefs. For example, people once believed the world was flat until facts proved otherwise. Still, the Flat Earth Society exists. At TrustDALE, we sometimes deal with consumers who are absolutely convinced they are right (especially when emotion plays a role) until facts become so overwhelming, they see the light; but sometimes they never do. Thanks for being a member of the TrustDALE Community, where the $10,000 Make It Right Guarantee™ is real!

Todays Lesson on how to be a Savvy Consumer!
Today's seven-point lesson is on dealing with and relying on facts, not beliefs.
Fast - Do they want your money NOW? Demand for money up front often comes from a source that isn't supplying facts or evidence of a product or service in advance.
Funds - Is the investment required relevant to the promised payoff? A "gotcha" deal often rides on the wings of rosy promises, but the facts of the written agreement are on what you should rely.
Found - A person who intends to rip you off will make certain he cannot be found after he gets your money. Failure to deliver a factual address in advance of payment is a problem.
Define - Your deal by comparing product, Offer and Price. Thoroughly completing this step means you've thoroughly analyzed the purchase.
Ensure - Your deal with an Ethical negotiation, an Equitable contract, and an Effective Guarantee. Again, the thorough application of this step will supply the necessary facts.
Authenticate - Your deal by requesting References, checking reviews, and examining government and watchdog reports. This is how you collect the facts independent of the influence of the seller.
Legitimize - your deal by determining if the company has a business license, liability insurance and is Lawsuit and background checked. Lost lawsuits are a fact. Don't skip this research prior to purchase!
